Assam youth from flood-hit zone creates amphibious bike from waste materials that can travel both on land and water

Diganta Das, a young man from Jogighopa in the Bongaigaon district, has designed one innovative Amphibious bike that can operate both on the waterway and land routes.

Diganta Das, who graduated in science from Goalpara College, had earlier surprised all by converting one simple cycle to an electronic bicycle and recently redesigned this vehicle to an Amphibious bike. Diganta Das, son of Bishtu Das, claims that this vehicle is India's first ever amphibian i.e. Amphibious bike.

Das used some waste materials like wood, thermocol, tyres and some unused electronic materials from the house for making this vehicle.

A resident of the most backward Kochudola area which is flooded every year, Das pondered upon creating one such vehicle that would aid in travelling through the flooded, dilapidated roads.

To deal with this situation, Das came up with the idea of making amphibious bikes and helping the people of the region during the monsoon season.

Das is already known for his multifarious gadgets, and vehicles that he has invented, and created using his knowledge and available waste materials. Earlier, Das created an electric car, electric speed boat, and electric bike, making the items as a centre of discussion. This time Das is planning to create a new amphibious car.
