SHILLONG: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has taken stock of COVID preparation in the North Garo Hills district and made a few recommendations to the administration as well.
Sangma reached at Resubelpara Community Health Centre (CHC) last evening to inspect the COVID preparedness there and announced that a 150 LPM Oxygen Plant will be set up in the CHC.
The 150 LPM oxygen plant will deliver and support as many as 15 beds with high flow oxygen.

CM Sangma has also asserted that the COVID cases in North Garo Hills were not as high as the other parts of the state, yet, all necessary arrangements will be put in place to deal with eventuality.
CM Sangma has also instructed to ramp up the bed capacity and the oxygen supply system.
North Garo Hills to get additional 150 oxygen cylinders in coming times. As of now, Resubelpara CHC has 84 B-type cylinders, 15 D-type cylinders, and 15 oxygen concentrators.
According to Conrad Sangma, north Garo Hills has completed close to 50 percent of the vaccination for 45+ years citizens and efforts are on to inoculate more.
