The stage has been set for the oath-taking ceremony of Arunachal Pradesh BJP leader Pema Khandu and his 12-member cabinet.
Pema Khandu, who will be administered the oath by Arunachal Governor BD Mishra, will be sworn in as Chief Minister for the second time.
The Chief Ministers of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Tripura will be present at the grand ceremony which will be held at the Dorjee Khandu Convention Centre. Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio and Deputy CM Y. Patton, among others, have already reached the Convention Centre.
Moreover, BJP Northeast in-charge Ram Madhav is also present at the ceremony
Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mien as well as newly-elected MPs Kiren Rijiju and Tapir Gao are also present at the oath-taking ceremony.
Moreover, Assam's Finance Minister and North East Democratic Alliance founder Himanta Biswa Sarma will also be present at the oath-taking ceremony.
It may be mentioned that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) registered a thumping victory in the 2019 General elections in Arunachal. The party won 41 seats as opposed to the Congress' tally of three seats. Moreover, the party candidates from both Lok Sabha Constituencies -- Arunachal East and Arunachal West -- were able to secure their victories with a huge margin of votes.
