Arunachal intensifies campaign ahead of Dec 15 polls, MLA Techi Kaso leads push for BJP

With municipal and panchayat elections scheduled for December 15, campaigning has intensified across Arunachal Pradesh. In the state capital, Itanagar MLA Techi Kaso led a major campaign event in support of BJP Corporator candidate from Ward No. 2, Yagam Jomoh Tagru, at Police Colony, Itanagar.

MLA Kaso, accompanied by BJP spokesperson and Roing MLA Mutchu Mithi and BJP Arunachal General Secretary Tadar Niglar, interacted directly with residents of Ward No. 2. He highlighted Yagam Jomoh Tagru’s achievements during her previous five-year tenure as Corporator of the Itanagar Municipal Corporation and appealed to voters to extend their support to her and all BJP candidates across the capital and the state.

A massive rally was held as part of the campaign, with residents turning out in large numbers—reflecting strong public confidence in Tagru’s leadership.

Speaking to India Today, Yagam Jomoh Tagru urged the electorate to give her another opportunity to represent Ward 2. She said she intends to complete pending development projects and reinforce her commitment to community welfare and inclusive growth in the region.

BJP Arunachal Pradesh General Secretary Tadar Niglar, in an interaction with India Today, said the party has already secured four corporator seats uncontested out of the 20 in the Itanagar Municipal Corporation. He said this reflects the growing trust and confidence of the people not only in the capital but across the state in the BJP’s governance.

As Arunachal Pradesh gears up for the December 15 polls, the capital region is witnessing heightened political activity with parties intensifying their outreach to secure voter support.
