PASIGHAT: In a humanitarian gesture, the Adi Young Officers Forum (AYOF) in a bid to come to the support of their fellow members, extended a financial ex-gratia to the fire affected family members of Jawaharlal Nehru College (JNC) Pasighat campus where the house of an Assistant Professor was gutted to ashes on February 16.

 

Currently, both victims are living in a makeshift camp near the river bank of Sibo Korong as per traditional system.

While visiting the fire-affected family members, AYOF Chairman, Pandov Perme, EAC said that there is an increasing number of fire accidents in the Pasighat township area that needs to be addressed in order to avert such tragedies in the future. “Everyone of us should be very cautious about fire safety management”, he added.

 

It is pertinent to mention that AYOF had also contributed Rs 1 Lakh for the Kaying fire victims in which more than 50 houses were gutted to ashes last year.
