Arunachal: Petitioner's advocate accuses state government of supporting corrupt officers and delaying case of DDUGJY scam

Anguished over extended dates and delaying tactics advocate Mehmood Pracha in the public interest litigation (PIL) case no 13/2022  fighting in Arunachal blamed Government for supporting corrupt officers from the back door. 

The hearing of the Deendayal Upadhaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY)142 crores alleged scam has been again extended to 28 October on its fifth hearing, since the inception of filing date on June 14, 2022.

The counsel of the case, Pracha, informed that “Through the response furnished in the case, it is understood that the Special Investigation Cell (SIC) has not investigated the case properly.”

“It is a clear-cut example that the government authorities are trying to protect the accused involved,” he added.
