Sleuths of the Chief Minister’s Special Vigilance Cell have hit upon three flats in New Delhi which Priyangshu Bairagi and Chohan Doley had purchased.
The duo was arrested earlier in connection with a Rs.121-crore scam in the Assam Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Guwahati (ABOCWWB).
On the strength of the search warrants issued by a special court of Assam, a team of officers conducted searches at the three houses in the past three days.
The first property is a three-bedroom flat at Chittaranjan Park which belongs to Guna Doley, wife of Chohan Doley. Chohan had allegedly purchased the flat in name of his wife from SABH Infrastructure Ltd for Rs.1.04 crore.
The second property is a three-bedroom flat at Neeti Bagh which belongs to Priyangshu Bairagi, a contractor who is a resident of Beltola in Guwahati. He allegedly purchased the flat from Sabharwal Apartments Private Limited (builders) at Rs.3 crore.
The third property is a three-bedroom flat at Greater Kailash Part-II which belongs to Priayngshu Bairagi. He purchased the property from SABH Infrastructure Ltd for Rs 2.05 crore.
