The President of All Bodo Students Union(ABSU) has recently demanded the early withdrawal of all Bodoland movement-related cases including NDFB leader and cadres through the spirit BTR accord( Bodoland Territorial Region) as four factions of the NDFB have signed in the BTR accord.
On Monday, Boro informed that a delegation team from the students union recently met IGP(law and order), Hiren Nath, in Guwahati and put the demand to the state government to take bold steps to check the early withdrawal of NDFB leader and cadres through the BTR accord spirit.
He said that the BTR accord had put ways to make disposal and withdrawal of all cases of the NDFB leader and cadres and accordingly cases are to be withdrawn in the coming days.
"We placed demand on the government to make withdrawal of all cases which are related to Bodoland movement of the Bodo peoples through the BTR accord", Boro further added.
Boro informed that the state government and concern department authority has made an assurance to work with dedicatedly while stepping for withdrawal of the cases.
On the rehabilitation of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland(NDFB), Boro informed that the students union delegation met IGP(law and order) Hiren Nath and thoroughly discussed over the early implementation of granting rehabilitation of the NDFB leader and cadres through the spirit of BTR accord. He said that the students union has put an urge to the state and centre government to extend necessary step while providing rehabilitation measures for the NDFB leader of cadres. He said that the centre had put a clause for granting rehabilitation for the NDFB leader and cadres in the BTR accord and accordingly the students union has been pressing the government for an early step in building implementation in the rehabilitation services.
In the Bodo medium educational environment, Boro has demanded early provincial station of all venture schools and appointment of teachers lying vacancies in the Bodo medium schools in the BTC region as well outside of BTAD for paving the way healthy development and uplift of the Bodo medium education in the state.
He informed that a delegation team from the students union recently met Education minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati and urged him to take bold steps to implement the clause 6.2 which related to the Bodo issues education development and welfare aspects in the BTR accord(Bodoland Territorial Region) with letter and spirit.He said that through the spirit of the BTR accord,Bodo medium educational related issues would be solved as state and centre are stressing to make properly implementation of the historic BTR accord.
Notably,the NDFB was founded on 3rd October in 1986 and fighted arms struggle against the government for the cause of the Bodos.

The NDFB was come into ceasefire in 25th June in 2005 and participated in the peace talks over the Bodo issues.
After 34 year of the foundation of the organisation,the NDFB signed in the BTR accord along with the All Bodo Students Union and United Bodo People's Organisation(UBPO) on 27th January 2020 which was regarded historic third Bodo Peace Accord.
First Bodo Accord,which was called Bodoland Autonomous Council(BAC) was signed on 20th February in 1993 in a tripartite peace talks between the then ABSU leaders,Bodo Volunteer Force,state and centre government.
The second Bodo Accord, which was regarded as Bodoland Territorial Council(BTC) was signed on 10th February 2003 between Bodo Liberation Tigers(BLT) leaders, state and centre government.
The BTR accord was regarded as an inclusive Bodo accord which had witnessed participation of four factions of the NDFB organization and with the BTR accord, the NDFB was totally disbanded by 10th March.
The BTR accord has paved the way healthy and tranquility environment among all sections of the society.
