Later on, police released the protesters who were arrested under 151 CrPC against PR bond. Meanwhile, the AJYCP members have condemned the state government for the action taken against the democratic protest.
The implementation of the ILP system has been a long-standing demand of the AJYCP, an influential youths' body from Assam. The organization has been at the forefront of the protests against the CAA, with its leader Palash Changmai being one of the prime protagonists of the movement.
