AJYCP stages naked protest in Tinsukia

Guwahati, January 7, 2019:

The Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) along with 70 other organizations has staged a naked protest in Tinsukia against proposed controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.

The protestors have threatened to intensify the protest if Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal does not take any steps to oppose the Bill.

It may be mentioned that the decision of the Modi led BJP-government to amend the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 has created a situation of unrest across the state.
