Assam | Gold worth Rupees 11 lakhs recovered at Kamakhya Railway Station

Guwahati, February 24, 2019:

Two suspects were picked up from Kamakhya Railway Station in Maligaon by Guwahati Railway Police yesterday. The suspects were roaming suspiciously and upon frisking, authorities found two gold bars weighing 330 grams. The bars are valued at around Rs. 11 lakhs.

The suspects have been identified as, Mohammad Yusuf Nisar, and Mohammad Noor Ismail, from Surat, Gujarat.

The case has been handed over to the Customs Department for further inquiries.
