ASSAM: SECTION I44 IMPOSED IN BOKAKHAT

The imposition of Section 144 is in force for the ensuing flood and to save the animals and to reduce man-animal conflict within the Kaziranga National Park area. The District Administration promulgated Section 144 on NH-37 starting from Panbari animal corridor to District/Subdivisional Western boundary near Bagori.

Further ACS, Sub divisional Magistrate, Bokakhat Vivek Shyam Pangyok imposed Section 144 to reduce the speed limit of vehicles to 40 Km per hour on the portion of NH-37 bordering the Kaziranga National Park.
