The troops of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force (BSF) on the 27th of August apprehended one Indian National along with 3,620 Nos of Yaba tablets from the bolder area of the village namely Kubegaon-II, PS- Mankachar, Dist- South Salamara.
The BSF troops of the Border outpost (BOP) carried out a special joint operation with a staff of Police Station Mankachar in the general area of village Kubegaon-II, PS- Mankachar, Dist –South Salamara (Assam). Special Ops party apprehended one Indian national along with 3,620 Nos of Yaba tablets on Indo-Bangladesh International border while the consignment was being smuggled from India to Bangladesh. The name of the apprehended person is Papu Miya, 30 yrs, S/o- Mofiul Haq of village Kubegaon-II, PS-Mankachar, Dist – South Salamara (Assam). An apprehended person along with seized items have been handed over to PS- Mankachar for further legal action.

Keeping in view the vulnerability of border, heightened activities of the smugglers and anti-national elements on the border, BSF troops are always alert towards the issues of trans-border crimes & illegal infiltration and are making all out efforts to prevent commission of such crimes.
