A clash broke out between Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supporters and supporters of Congress Party leader Rockybul Hussain in Samuguri on Wednesday.
As per reports, the BJP supporters allegedly attacked the vehicle of the Congress leader following which his supporters retaliated and attacked the opposite party. Two BJP supporters sustained injuries in the clash.
Whereas, the BJP supporters claimed that the allegation of vandalism was false and they were wrongly framed by the Congress supporters.
Immediately after the incident of the clash, Rockybul Hussain addressed the media and said that the party workers were on their way to attend a meeting at Singimari where the BJP supporters pelted stone on them.
He said, “Mujibur Rahman, and Mafidul Islam, the two goons came to attack us claiming themselves as BJP leaders.”
Meanwhile, many people have moved to the streets protesting against the Rockybul Hussain. The protestors shouted slogans, “We want to give farewell to Rockybul Hussain, and so on.”
