The 18th death anniversary of Subungthini Thandwi Bineswar Brahma, who was a former president of Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS), was observed with a day-long programme in Kokrajhar on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, BSS chief Taren Boro said Brahma was a tallest leader of the Boro community. He also made an appeal to people to oppose acts of terror.
Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) deputy chief Khampa Bargoyari, executive members Dhaneswar Goyary and Rajib Brahma besides All Bodo Students’ Union general secretary Lorence Islary and several writers took part in the programme.
