The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday has lodged an FIR against the senior advocate and independent candidate from Guwahati Constituency Upamanyu Hazarika for allegedly entering a BJP office opened for election purpose at Noonmati in the of absence the office bearers.
In the FIR copy, the BJP Law and Legal Affairs Convenor Benudhar Nath stated that some of the important files and documents went missing that includes: papers, pamphlets, banners and other election-related valuable items of the party. In the FIR, it is alleged that the senior advocate along with 30- 40 of his supporters have stolen the items.
It is to be mentioned that Upamanyu Hazarika on Saturday campaigned at an ’empty’ BJP office opened for election purpose in the city and claimed that the party's promises are as empty as that office.
