Country boat capsized in Barpeta: One, reported missing

Guwahati (Assam), September 13, 2018:

After the boat capsized in the Beki river in Barpeta district of lower Assam that took place on Monday, one person’s missing report has been filed by the family at Kalgachiya police station on Wednesday.

The missing person, Jaharul Haque was one of the passengers in the mechanised country boat ( bhutbhuti) that capsized at Kararkur while coming from Baghbar to Kalgachiya. He had gone missing since then.

Search operations are being carried out by the NDRF and SDRF.
