Dimasa National Army cadre apprehended by police, weapons recovered

Guwahati, January 5, 2019:

The Dima Hasao police apprehended a cadre of the Dimasa National Army based on specific input. The police also recovered an assault weapon with 69 rounds of live ammunition as well as a 7.68 mm pistol with eight rounds of live ammunition from the cadre.

The cadre, Ruponjeet Naidung, belongs to Gunjung in Haflong circle of Dima Hasao district. It may be mentioned that the cadre belonging to the outfit was killed in a fierce encounter on December 28 at Maibong in the same district.
