Drug addicts arrested

Tinsukia (Assam), August 19:

Two persons were arrested in Tinsukia’s Jagun for allegedly stealing solar light batteries and selling them to a scrap dealer.

The accused persons were identified as Deepak Sonowal and Phuleswar Borgohain. They were accused of stealing four solar light batteries worth Rs.2 lakh. The locals alleged the duo were drug addicts who were involved in burglaries in the area to earn easy cash to buy drugs.
