Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi files nomination for Kaliabor constituency

Kaliabor, March 22, 2019:

MP Gaurav Gogoi of the Congress party filed his nomination papers on Friday from Kaliabor at the Nagaon Deputy Commissioner's office.

Gaurav Gogoi was accompanied by former Minister Rockybul Hussain, Nurul Huda, Ajanta Neog, and Rupahihat MLA and Congress leader Gautam Bora.

The Congress leaders first visited the Sri Sri Batadrava Than on the occasion of Doul Mahotsav and sought blessings ahead of filing nominations from Kaliabor as a candidate for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.

Addressing the media outside the Than, Gogoi said that the allegations made by the Bharatiya Janata Party regarding Congress having a secret alliance with the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) are baseless. “This smear campaign has shown the weakness of BJP party”, added Gogoi.
