The All Assam Gorkha Students' Union (AAGSU), a student body representing the Gorkha community in Assam, has resolved to take its grievances to the corridors of power in New Delhi.

The student body has planned to stage a demonstration at the historical landmark Jantar Mantar to express the "various problems from Assam and Northeast" on a national platform.
The Gorkhas have planned to take their problems from the Northeast to the national capital, with the intention of having their voices heard.

Prakash Dahal, the Gen Secy of the Assam State Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangha, told Inside Northeast, "The protest has been organized by the Gorkha student community in Assam. Although we are not directly affiliated with them, we are there in spirit with them and support their initiative to take their concerns to the Central Government".
