Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar announced to contribute Rs 5 crore aid flood relief and rehabilitation activities in Assam. The amount will be sent to the Assam Chief Minister’s Relief Fund as said on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister sarbananda Sonowal has expressed gratitute toward the Haryana CM for his contribute. He tweeted, "Thank you Haryana CM @mlkhattar ji for contributing ₹ 5 crore towards those affected by the floods in Assam. Your concern and support gives more strength to the entire state to fight this natural calamity."
The state of Assam has been donated relief funds from all sectors.
It is to be mentioned that Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Trivendra Singh Rawat also donated Rs 5 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to aid the relief efforts. Pratima Bhowmik, the Lok Sabha MP from Tripura West parliamentary constituency, donated Rs 1,00,000 from her first month’s salary for Assam flood relief.
Meanwhile, Bollywood’s Big B, action superstar Akhshay Kumar, cricketer Riyan Parag, Assamese actor Jatin Bora, MLAs and many other politicians have made their donation as aid to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
