The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that heavy rainfall that is likely to shower in the next 24 hours in Assam and Meghalaya.
As per the IMD reports released on Sunday, isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh also may receive heavy downpour during the day.

The intermittent spells of moderate to heavy rain and thundershower at many places with very heavy showers along with moderate lightning strike will be seen over Baksa, Barpeta, Biswanath, Bongaigaon, Cachar, Charaideo, Chirang, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Goalpara, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Hojai, Jorhat, Kamrup, Kamrup (Metro), Karbi Anglong (East), Karbi Anglong (West), Karimganj, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Morigaon, Nagaon, Nalbari, N.C.Hills, Sivasagar, Sonitpur, South Salmara-Mankachar, Tinsukia and Udalguri districts in Assam, reports said.
Moreover, Meghalaya’s East Garo Hills, East Jaintia Hills, East Khasi Hills, North Garo Hills, Ri-Bhoi, South Garo Hills, South West Garo Hills, South West Khasi Hills, West Garo Hills, West Jaintia Hills and West Khasi Hills also likely to experience heavy rainfall during next 24-36 hours.
