Himanta Biswa Sarma adamant over implementation of Citizenship Bill

Guwahati, January 17, 2019:

Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and NEDA convenor is adamant over the implementation of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 and categorically tweeted today that the bill needs to be accepted by the people of Assam.

Despite of thousand moving on to the street, staging naked protest against the Bill in front of the Parliament, Sarma is seen defending the BJP-government’s decision to amend the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.
