DUDHNOI: Assam health and family welfare, finance and education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today met the family members of martyred Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan Bablu Rabha.
Sarma offered his condolences to the bereaved family members of Rabha at their residence in Dudhnoi in Golapara district.
Earlier, Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Wednesday visited the houses of both martyred CRPF jawans Bablu Rabha and Dilip Kumar Das and paid rich tributes to them.
It may be mentioned that in one of the deadliest Naxal attacks, at least 22 security personnel lost their lives in Chhattisgarh‘s Bijapur district on April 3.
Out of the total 22 fatalities, the CRPF lost eight men, including seven commandos of the CoBRA (CRPF's elite unit) and one jawan of the Bastariya battalion. Eight of the other deceased were from the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and six from the Special Task Force (STF).
