Workers of the KMSS (Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti) have staged a naked protest in national capital New Delhi to protest the implementation of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016. The activists covered themselves in banners along the busy streets of Vijay Chowk.

It may be mentioned that this is the first naked protest by an Assamese organization in the national capital. Police have detained the naked activists. The KMSS along with 70 other organizations have called for a 'ghrina diwas' in condemnation of the controversial Bill. The groups have further threatened an indefinite economic blockage in Assam from 8 January onwards.
Meanwhile, reports have emerged that the JPC has submitted its final report on the Bill to both houses of the Parliament.
