The notorious elephant known as ‘Laden’ continues to terrorize residents of Goalpara district of Assam.
Now you might be wondering who this Laden is, right? Perhaps it is the spirit of the deceased terrorist who carried out the 9/11 attacks in the United States? Or perhaps it a Gabbar-like dacoit hiding in the hills and the border pillaging the Assam villages from time-to-time?

In a recent incident, the dreaded jumbo reportedly killed two women at Santipara village in Darangiri under Goalpara district on Saturday night.
The deceased have been identified as Ahari Rabha (70), and Nandita Rabha (35). Locals have reported that a child also sustained injuries in the jumbo's attack.
It may be mentioned that locals have been lamenting the 'terrorism' caused by this jumbo in recent years and it has been reported that wild elephants have been moving near the area in the last 2 years.
The man-elephant conflict continues to be a major issue in many areas of Assam.
