MAHAPURUSH SRIMANTA SANKARDEV REMAINED CONFINED WITHIN A SMALL CLOUT OF HIS OWN PREACHINGS: BISWAJIT DAIMARY

Rajya Sabha MP from Assam Biswajit Daimary addressing the gathering at the Asom Satra Mahasabha convention in Kokrajhar said that Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev was the architect of Assamese society. “He unified the very fabric of its culture and traditions but what is heartening is that while Prophet Mohammad or for that matter Lord Buddha could reach out to the world, Srimanta Sankardev remained confined within a small clout of his own preachings” said Biswajit Daimary.

The convention was also attended by Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal and Bodoland Territorial Council Chief Hagrama Mohilary.
