One arrested for possession of drugs in Assam's Dhubri

DHUBRI: Dhubri police today recovered huge contraband of drugs apprehending one person in connection with the drug case.

A team of the Dhubri police led by Jayanta Das, TSI, BN College Dhubri, arrested the accused person from IG road based on secret information.

The accused has been identified as Rajib Sheikh (20) a resident of IG road.

The seized contraband drugs include–36 bottles of Bolirex Cough Syrup and 896 numbers of Pyeevon Spas Plus addictive contraband tablets.

Besides this, the police have also seized one mobile handset from the possession of the accused person.

A case has already been registered against the accused persons under The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, said TSI, Jayanta Das.
