Policeman booked for molesting woman in Diphu

Diphu (Assam), September 10, 2018:

The Diphu police arrested one police personnel for allegedly molestating and threatening a woman here on Saturday.

The accused has been identified as Bimal Nath, an employee of the armoury in the police reserve.

According to official reports, the victim was accosted by the accused and molested. She lodged an FIR with the Diphu police station.

However, the accused has refused the allegations.

Meanwhile Karbi Nimso Chongthur Asong (KNCA) and Karbi Anglong Woman Justice Forum (KAWJF), Karbi Student Union (KSU), United Farmers Committee (UFC), Karbi Human Right (KHR) has demanded arrest of the accused and termination within 24 hours.
