PROTEST DEMANDING RECTIFICATION IN NRC UPDATION PROCESS

Guwahati, October 12, 2018:

The Conscious citizens Forum of Assam staged one hour protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner office in Tinsukia on Friday demanding correction in the updation process of National Register of Citizens (NRC).

The protestors demanded that no Indian citizen should be left out in the complete NRC draft and the foreigners whose names have been included in the draft should be omitted soon.

The protestors also demanded intervention of the President of India in this regard.
