The Rise of New Media to be Discussed at the 'InsideNE Youth Conclave 2019'

Guwahati, November 27, 2019:

Inside Northeast is just two days away from hosting power-packed sessions on the country’s most recent and burning issues, and the rising phenomenon of 'new media' will be discussed during one the panel discussions at the Conclave.

INSIDENE Youth Conclave 2019 is happening on November 30 at the Pragjyotish ITA Centre, Guwahati and noted personalities from different walks of life will be joining in for a dialogue with the youth of Northeast India.

This is the first time that experts from different media houses will be seen on one stage under one roof to discuss the country’s Fourth Estate and the emergence of New Media.

INSIDENE Youth Conclave 2019 has come up with - Is New Media the True Voice of Democracy?

Three renowned Journalists will be getting together to discuss the country’s burning question on Democracy and media’s role in delivering news in the true sense of the term.

The Founding Editor of WIRE, Siddharth Varadrajan, Political Editor of WION, Kartikeya Sharma and the Editor-in-Chief of The Shillong Times will be seen on one stage to converse about the role of New Media vs that of the traditional form.

Additionally, the presence of Assam’s Education Minister Dr. Siddhartha Bhattacharya, who only recently forayed into the world of media, along with national media heavyweights, is bound to add more fuel to the discussion.

The aim of the INSIDENE Youth Conclave is to provide a platform to leaders and experts in order to connect with the youth and discuss the ongoing issues of the region.

INSIDENE has initiated the second edition of the INSIDENE Youth Conclave after successfully hosting Speakers from across Politics, Cinema and Media in 2018.

This year, INSIDENE has geared up for a power-packed Saturday (November 30) at the Pragjyotish ITA Centre in Guwahati.
