J&K, October 20, 2019:

Two Gorkha jawans were martyred during the Pakistan army's ceasefire violation in Tanghar sector of Jammu & Kashmir's Kupwara district.

The martyred jawans have been identified as Hav Padam Bahadur Shrestha and Rfn Gamil Kumar Shrestha (Gorkha Bn).

Meanwhile, Army Chief Bipin Rawat on Sunday said that around 6-10 Pakistani soldiers had been killed and three terror camps destroyed in Indian Army strikes against Pakistani infiltration.

General Bipin Rawat said, "6-10 Pakistani soldiers have been killed, 3 camps have been destroyed."

Rawat also confirmed that the Indian Army had used artillery guns to target terrorist camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

General Bipin Rawat said that the Army had confirmed information that terrorists are coming closer to the forward areas especially the Keran, Tangdhar and the Naugaon sector in Kashmir.

Rawat confirmed that the army had targeted the camps using artillery guns. "The Pakistan army and the terrorists have suffered heavy casualties," he affirmed.

He said, "Ever since Article 370 was abrogated from J&K, we have been getting repeated inputs of infiltration by terrorists from across the border to disturb peace and harmony in the state."
