ULFA-I Flag Issue | Two former ULFA-I associates arrested in Nagaon

Guwahati, December 1, 2018:

The Assam Police have arrested two persons in connection with the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) flag issue in various locations of the state including Nagaon.

The arrested persons have been identified as Bhaskar Borah of Poly Road and Naren Gohain of Difalu. According to the police Bhaskar Borah is a surrendered ULFA-I member whereas Naren Gohain is a former ULFA-I linkmen.

They have been arrested under a case registered at the Nagaon Sadar Police State case no 4022/18 under the sections 120 (B)/121/121 (A) IPC R/W 10/13 of the IPC Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.

The police also seized one Opel Corsa bearing registration AS21E7249 which was used in the commission of the crime and various other incriminating material from the houses of the two accused.

Both of them have confessed their involvement in the crime and their association with the ULFA-I.
