ULFA-I linkman arrested in Sonari

Sonari (Assam), September 8, 2018:

A suspected linkman of insurgent group United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) was arrested by the police and security forces from Charaideo’s Sonari on Saturday.

The police recovered an improvised explosive device (IED), weighing 2 kgs, from the possession of the accused.

On interrogation, he revealed that an ULFA-I rebel had given him the IED during Independence Day. It is suspected that there are many other such persons in the area who are helping the militant organizations.
