Assam: Landslide kills one man in Bongaigaon; items recovered from mosque

A devastating landslide in the Latibari Third Part of Abhayapuri, Bongaigaon district, has resulted in the death of a 50-year-old man, Anwar Hussein. The incident occurred as local villagers attempted to retrieve items from a mosque severely affected by the recent landslides caused by the Manah River.

This morning, while working alongside other community members, Hussein was caught in the disaster when a portion of the mosque collapsed. A lintel fell on him, leading to his immediate death. Hussein was the only earning member of his family.
