Assam Minister Atul Bora revisits Kakochang Waterfall amid onset of picnic season
With the advent of mid-November, Assam ushers in its much-loved picnic season, as people from across the state venture outdoors to soak in the soothing beauty of nature. As the winter breeze sets in, the lush landscapes and scenic spots once again become hubs of activity, drawing families, students, and nature enthusiasts alike.
Among these natural treasures, the Kakochang Waterfall nestled in the Karbi Hills near Bokakhat has emerged as one of the prime attractions this season. Located along the border of Golaghat and Karbi Anglong districts, the picturesque waterfall continues to captivate both domestic and international tourists visiting the Kaziranga National Park and Agaratoli forest range.
Recently, Assam Minister and Bokakhat MLA Atul Bora paid a visit to the Kakochang Waterfall to relish its unspoiled charm once more. In a gesture reflecting his deep connection with nature, the minister personally drove a Bolero vehicle through the rugged terrain to reach the site.
The minister’s visit not only highlighted the growing tourism potential of Kakochang but also reinforced the message of embracing eco-tourism and preserving Assam’s natural heritage. Taking time out from his busy schedule, Bora’s visit brought delight to those accompanying him, including members of his security detail, as they shared in the tranquil experience of one of Assam’s most scenic waterfalls.
