Assam: PMAY beneficiaries allegedly threatened to lose houses if they don’t join UPPL party

Bodoland People’s Front legislator Rabiram Narzary has slammed the ruling United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) government in BTAD for carrying out hate politics and threatening the beneficiaries of the PMAY scheme.

It has been alleged that the UPPL workers have threatened PMAY beneficiaries supporting BPF and other political parties and said that the PMAY beneficiaries won’t be able to acquire houses under the government housing schemes if they don’t join UPPL.

The UPPL political party workers are running under the Kachugaon development block under the Gosaigaon sub-division.
Notably, the allegations have been raised by No 29 West Kokrajhar assembly constituency BPF legislator Rabiram Narzary.

It may be recalled that after receiving complaints and allegations from various corners, BPF MLA Raviram Narzary himself reached the Kachugaon Development Block office and interacted with the Block Development Officer as well as the workers of the development block and other stakeholders.

The MLA further urged the people to work for the community without judging anyone on the basis of caste or religion.
Slamming the UPPL party workers for their threats, the BPF legislator condemned the party and said that no party or organisation can deprive beneficiaries of receiving their rightful facilities under the government schemes.
He also alleged that the BPF government had never engaged in such shameful incidents or hate politics in past.
