Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi Appointed as In-Charge of Tripura And ManipurGaurav meets Akhil Gogoi at GMCH to take stock of his health

Guwahati, October 9, 2019:

Kaliabor MP Gaurav Gogoi has been appointed as in- charge of Tripura and Manipur by All India Congress Committee (AICC).

The development came to light after the AICC released a press communiqué under by AICC general secretary. The communiqué stated that Gaurav Gogoi will hold the charge of the two northeastern states along with his current responsibilities of West Bengal and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

The communiqué further added that Luizinho Faleiro will continue as General Secretary in- charge of other North-Eastern states.

It may be mentioned here that September 24, Tripura Congress Chief Pradyot Manikya had resigned from all party posts citing differences with the high command.

Manikya took to Facebook to share about his resignation. “I start this day without having to listen to criminals and liars. Not having to worry about which colleague will backstab u, not having to indulge in groupism and backchat.”

He added, “Not having to listen to ‘High Command’ on how to accommodate corrupt people in high positions.”
