Drugs worth approx Rs 1 Cr seized in Mizoram's Champhai

CHAMPHAI: In a major breakthrough, troops of Assam Rifles today seized a huge quantity of Contraband drugs suspected to be Heroin NO-4 in Mizoram's Champhai district.

The market value of the Contraband drugs is approximately rupees one crore.

Based on a tip-off, the Assam Rifles team along with officials of the Customs department, Champhai conducted a search operation and recovered the drugs.

The large consignment of seized drugs has been handed over to the Customs Department, Champhai For further legal proceedings.
