MANIPUR: ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTS A MASS RALLY ON SWACHH BHARAT AHBIYAAN

Continuing with the mission of ‘Clean India, Green India’ Phundrei Battalion  of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a mass rally cum awareness programme incorporating various schools and Police personnel of Thoubal District, Manipur on 08 Jun 2018.

The school children started the rally from their respective schools conveying the message of ‘Clean India, Green India’ moving through the localities of Thoubal. The rallies congregated at Thoubal Football Ground wherein they were welcomed by the Assam Rifles personnel. Awareness lecture on various facets of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and importance of cleanliness and hygiene was conducted.

Around 600 people including school children, teachers, staff and civil police personnel participated in the rally cum lecture programme. The attendees expressed their gratitude to Assam Rifles for sustained efforts towards the welfare of the civil society.
