Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister, Smt Nemcha Kipgen today inaugurated the Yairipok branch of the Manipur State Cooperative Bank (MSCB) Ltd. at Yairipok Bazar in the presence of MLA, Wangkhem A/C Shri K. Meghachandra Singh, Principal Secretary, Cooperation, Shri J.C. Ramthanga, Managing Director, MSCB, Shri A. Subhash Singh, amongst others.
Addressing the gatherings as Chief Guest, Minister Nemcha Kipgen stated that Manipur State Cooperative Bank (MSCB) Ltd., being the apex bank of the State, takes a key role in cooperative credit structure in the State. It had been continuously improving the socio-economic condition of the people by giving them loan at low interest rate with an objective to improve the socio-economic condition of those involved in agro-based industries, farming, agriculture, handloom and handicrafts, to name some. She appealed the masses to avail the maximum benefits from the bank like loans and have the habit to repay the loan in time.
Minister Nemcha reiterates that once cooperative movement are successfully revived and implemented in the state, then the socio-economic condition of the masses will be more developed and it will immensely contribute in the state’s economy. So, she called upon the support of all to promote the cooperative sector and successfully implement in the state.
Cooperation Minister further seek the attention and cooperation from masses living in and around the Yairipok areas to avail maximum benefits from this newly opened Bank branch equipped with modern banking facilities and also urged the banking officials to extend assistance for the public at all times for the efficient functioning of the bank and to serve its purpose.
