Narcotics Worth Rs 1 Cr Recovered in Meghalaya

Shillong, September 6, 2019:

In a joint operation of the Anti-Narcotics task Force (ANTF), East Jaintia Hills, Anti-Narcotics task Force (ANTF), East Khasi Hills and Khliehriat Police, approximately 76,000 “Ya Ba” tablets commonly known as “World is Yours (WY)” tablets, were recovered.

The tablet weighs around 7.85 Kg and the consignment is expected to be worth Rs.1 Crore.

Three women were apprehended carrying the consignment. They were traveling from Silchar to Shillong/Guwahati in a commercial Tata Sumo vehicle.

A case has been registered to vide Khliehriat PS Case No. 135(9) 19 u/s 8(c)/22(c)/29 NDPS Act, and the investigation is going on.
