The Railways to operate three trains from June 1 to Northeast India, according to an announcement made by Railway Minister Piyush Goyal. As per media reports, there will be a total of five trains that will begin services from June 1 under the NF Railway. The three trains include Brahmaputra Mail (Dibrugarh-Delhi), Lokmanya Tilak Guwahati Express, and Guwahati-Jorhat Town Jan Shatabdi Express.
The Railways have already released the list of 200 special trains that will start from 22 May.
Among these, Delhi-Dibrugarh Brahmputra Mail, Guwahati-Lokmanya Tilak Express and Guwahati-Jorhat Town Jan Shatabdi Express will run in Assam. The trains will be fully reserved trains having AC and non-AC coaches.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal announced that booking of train tickets will resume from tomorrow at around 1.7 lakh common service centres across India.
According to the Indian Railways, 178,990 tickets for 423,538 number of passengers for over 70 trains have been booked from 10 am today.
The RAC and waitlist will be generated as per extant rules. However, waiting list ticket holders shall not be permitted to board the train.
Post lockdown, the railway services for passengers were halted that led to a host of problems for stranded migrant workers. After this, special Shramik Trains were allocated for them.
The train services restored will have Online E-Ticketing will be done through IRCTC website or through Mobile App. Booking of tickets through ‘agents’, (both IRCTC Agents and Railway Agents) shall not be permitted.
