Tripura Royal Scion and ex-Congress president Pradyot Kishore Devbarman has urged everyone not to politicize the issue of coronavirus as the present time requires united fight against the deadly disease irrespective of political affiliation or any other factor.
Speaking to Inside Northeast, Pradyot Said, “I appeal everyone not to see politics in everything. This is the time when we need to stand tall with unity against the deadly contagion. We all should contribute to the factor as far as possible in order to provide relief to the people who are in need in these trying times."

Pradyot who had already extended monetary help to the people stranded in different parts of the country from his own pocket, also urged everyone to contribute and also called upon the people to keep in mind the restrictions imposed by the people.
"We can not flout the restrictions. The nature of the disease does not allow us the luxury of doin that. Those who are willing to help please come out and approach the administration. In any case, we can not afford crowding of people, so it is better to reach out to the rural masses through the administration", Pradyot added.
"I have spent about 1.35 lakh from my own pocket to ensure food and shelter to the people of Tripura stranded in several parts of the country. From our organization---TIPRA, we are also planning to help the families of rural Tripura so that nobody feessl lost in the time of crisis", added Pradyot.
Meanwhile, he also demanded adequate number of soaps along with the rations to poor families so that they can be afforded proper sanitary measures in these times of crisis, when washing of hands has become an absolute necessity in order to keep the virus at bay.
"In the rural areas the situation is quite different. People are not familiar with proper sanitation. We all should address the challenges. Hence, people of rural areas should be given soaps along with rations by the food department", added Pradyot. He also thanked police and medical fraternity for working tirelessly despite the threat to their own lives.
