Two individuals, including a juvenile, were arrested by a team of Assam Rifles and Moreh Commando for possession of a huge cache of contraband Ya Ba tablets (also known as WY) from Permanent Motor Vehicles Check Point on Wednesday, at around 5:30 PM.
The team found 5,700 pieces of WY tablets while checking a Burma Kenbo Bike coming from Moreh.

The contraband WY tablets, worth about Rs. 17 lakh in the international market, was seized and the two riders of the vehicle, have also been arrested.
One of the accused has been identified as Onkhosei Mate (aged 23), a resident of D. Mounnaphai Village in Tengnoupal District. Police informed that the juvenile will be produced in a juvenile Court and refused to reveal his name.

The arrested persons, along with the seized drugs, have been handed over to Moreh Police Station and a case has been registere. Further investigation is going on in this regard.
