A person has been killed and five others injured in a shooting on the streets of Washington, DC near the White House on Thursday night.
Reportedly, the police are yet to make any apprehensions in relation to this case. However, detectives are interviewing witnesses and looking for camera footages as informed by Metropolitan Police Commander, Stuart Emerman.

The deceased was a lady while the five injured were men who have been rushed to the hospital. Two of them are in critical condition.
It is to be noted that the area of the incident is about two miles from the White House that happened outdoors in a courtyard of an apartment building.
Earlier on August 23, a total of 112 murders have been reported in Washington DC. Moreover, in July, Washington DC witnessed one of the worst spates of shootings with 19 people found shot in five days.
