Nearly 15 people were killed, and several injured on Tuesday night in coordinated attacks suspected to be carried out by Muslim insurgency in Southern Thailand, said reports.
Three security posts in Yala province were stormed by insurgents with firearms, an official informed. The number of injured persons is yet to be confirmed. However, no insurgent groups have claimed responsibility until now.

Over 40,000 security forces personnel have been deployed in the southern provinces of Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat. The attacks and killings are common in these regions.
Reportedly, over 7,000 people have been killed in the area since the Muslim separatist movement resumed its armed struggle in 2004.
