2 ultras nabbed in Manipur

Imphal (Manipur), Aug 22, 2018:

Security forces nabbed two suspected militants in Manipur in the last 48 hours.

In the first incident, a team of Imphal Police commandos arrested on suspected PLA militant along with incriminating articles from his possession during a cordon and search operation at Seijang Makha Leikai on Wednesday.

The suspect PLA cadre has been identified as Heikrujam Shyamchandra Singh. A case has been registered at Yaingangpokpi Police Station.

Meanwhile, Assam Rifles personnel under HQ IGAR (South) along with Thoubal Police commandos claimed to have apprehended one cadre of proscribed group PREPAK at Ukhongsang Mavai Leikai in Thoubal district on Tuesday.

The suspected PREPAK cadre has been identified as Maibam Chaoba Singh alias Iboton alias Rojen.
