An IED blast has rocked Manipur capital.
Three persons - a sixty year old man and two women of a family sustained injuries one of them seriously in the IED blast
in front of the vehicular workshop located at Thangmeiband of Imphal on Tuesday night, the police said.
Unknown persons reportedly placed the explosive and the blast occurred around 7 pm in front of the vehicular workshop owned by a rich businessman namely Meitei Pishak.
The injured persons were rushed to the RIMS hospital where doctors stated that one of females injured is still in critical condition. She was badly hit by the splinters of the blast at her belly.
The two women of the same family were coming out to purchase sweetmeats for their babies. They were the residents of Mountain Gym adjacent to the vehicular workshop.
So far no underground outfit claims responsibility over the action.
The businessman is also not available for his comment. Y Manihar, (6), Surbala Devi (34) and Bidhimala Devi (35), from the Thangmeiband area in Imphal are giving treatments at the hospital.
